Community at DBSEH

A World Class School Offering the British Curriculum

Community at DBSEH

Thanks to our smaller size and placement within the residential community of The Springs and The Meadows, the community spirit at our school is regularly commented on as one of the school’s biggest strengths. To nurture this throughout the year we host regular events that bring staff, parents and students together. We work with our families and respond to the interests of our community, to celebrate events such as the Festival of Light, International Day and our incredible annual iftar, where over 400 attendees enjoy an evening meal together under twinkling lights on our school site.

Our Parent-Teacher Association

The school’s Parent-Teacher Association also plays a key role in forging positive relationships between home and school, as well as raising money for charity. Below is just a sample of what our PTA organise:

  • Pinktober: raising funds for Breast Cancer Awareness through a variety of initiatives
  • The annual DBSEH Car-Boot Sale, a very popular opportunity for our parents and budding young entrepreneurs
  • Secret Santa: an opportunity for our younger students to purchase low-cost gift items for their families
  • The annual Spring Fair: a highlight on everyone’s calendar, the whole school community come together to enjoy stalls, games and the ever-impressive Tombola
