Neil Milton

Music Teacher. 

I joined DBS in 2020 having worked in Egypt for nearly 16 years.

I am originally from Scotland, where I studied piano at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. I completed my teaching qualification at Edinburgh University and also have a Masters in Technology and Education from University College London.

My favourite pastimes are golf, football and running. I recently completed 3 marathons in 1 year, including an ultra - marathon (56k) in the 2 Oceans event in Capetown. 

Best moments in teaching

That was actually at DBS. On my first day of teaching I met a Y11 student whom I actually taught many years ago in Egypt - when she was only 5 years old! I had written some songs for our school production back then and incredibly she remembered all the words and was able to sing them back to me. It felt amazing to realise how my music and teaching could have such a strong and lasting impact on someone so young.
